01 — The house

A gift to
three daughters

In the heart of Roma Norte, a father redesigned this house as a gift to his three daughters — a place to keep family close, honour tradition, and keep the spirit of Mexico alive.

02 — The workshop

Uriarte,
since 1824

Every piece of Talavera you see was hand-crafted by artisans from Uriarte Talavera, the oldest workshop in Mexico. Two regional clays, two firings, mineral pigments, brushes of mule hair — a sixteenth-century process, untouched.

Detail of the Pavorreales mural

Murales Talavera

The city,
fired in cobalt

Throughout the hotel, murals replicate the street life of Mexico City and the everyday crafts that make it unique — from the entrance to the bistró, in every guest room, and on the roof. Each was handmade by artisans from Puebla who have refined the art of Talavera for over 200 years.

Pavorreales

Replica of the Ventosa–Uriarte mural that changed Talavera forever: art nouveau borders, cherry trees springing from cobalt tibores, lions and eagles woven with motifs from Chinese porcelain. Painted by Enrique Vázquez Tejeda — his twentieth time — and Víctor, one year at the workshop.
